I would like to know pros and cons for using this rake on huskies. In the video it seems to work pretty good at removing the fur but I'm not sure if it's bad for the longer fur (top coat?). Any feedback would be appreciated before I invest in this tool! Thanks!

Hi Welcome! Here is a great thread that covers grooming a siberian. I use a rake and it works great. It doesn't cause damage to the top coat.
Much appreciated, I read that post you linked before I posted my video. I wasn't really asking for advice on what was talked about on that post, but wanted to know more about the specific style in this video. It appears to work pretty good but I wanted some first hand response from everyone.

I've used one of these brushes before and they are fantastic. But though I do believe they cut out some sort of the top coat. I tried to find some stuff about it online but it's kind of back and forth. It's official name is a shedding blade, we use them on horses all the time. From my experience with them they did work out fantastic on getting undercoat out, but there were still guard hairs in it too. But I still can't find out if the area between the teeth are actually blade like and cutting the hair like the furminator does or it's just the prongs that pull the hair out. If no one else responds back here, I would just try to find out as much as you can online about it and then make a decision from there.
