PostSubject: Does your sibe have silly habits?    Does your sibe have silly habits? EmptyTue Jun 11, 2013 9:11 am

Dizzy has a lot of silly habits, but one in particular really has me cracking up lately. He seems to be a hoarder! He stashes and hides toys and bones all over the apartment, especially the ones he really loves. His favorite chew treat are pig ears, and I find those things half eaten and hidden everywhere. I have found them under rugs, under the couch, mixed up in the couch cover, or shoved between cushions, in closets, under the cat bed, in the cat bed, in shoes, under his towel in his crate, and in any corner he can find. This morning, I found one behind the toilet! A couple days ago, I noticed him stash something under the couch, and when I went to pull it out, I found 7 toys, a half eaten pig ear, and a couple half eaten bully sticks under there! The other part of this, is that when I first give him a pig ear, he has to jump around, throw it, pounce on it, and tell it who's boss for a few minutes before he settles down to chew it. I took a short video last night of this, he had been going on like this for about 5 minutes before I got the old iphone. Does anyone else have a sibe with a silly habit?

Although not a Sibe (but one at heart), my cat likes to play and stash straws, pencils, or anything with that shape. Every single time I go to clean the carpet in the foyer, I lift it up and there's AT LEAST 15 of those things under there... =\

Stark doesn't have anything as cute, but for some reason, whenever we are in the basement and tell him to go upstairs, he has to run around the whole once (no more, no less) and then he'll run upstairs. Not sure if he associates that command with doing all of that, but every single time, without fail...

Every time I move the coffee table I find Loki's "stash" antlers, bones, small toys, one time a sock. He has this one toy that if he plays with he he cries while he bites on it, then he goes and hides it. The only toy I have not had to stitch up or throw out. We call it his baby. Another silly thing he does is when you come home, if you don't get down on his level and say hi he will snout punch you in the butt until you do. He just follows you around poking you in the butt.

Anya doesn't stash her toys. But she did try to bury a turkey neck in the towel she was eating on once!

One funny thing she does is when she is super tired bite mode shell lay on her back with a plush squeak toy in her mouth and fall asleep mid squeak. The toy will eventually fall out of her mouth but she'll still have her lips curled and her little sharp teeth showing lol

Karli has an awkward way of running down the stairs:

She also will randomly jump into bushes if they're really tall when we're walking. Its so comical to watch!!

We generally keep Link's toys on top of his crate on the blanket cover. He started jumping up on top and taking the toys down, one by one, and bringing them to his beanbag. Once they are all down, he goes to lay on them on his beanbag and then naps. So cute Smile

Shaqua stashes her treats all the time. Just the other day a visiting dog found one of her buried treats. You should have seen her face and how disappointed she was that her doggy friend found one of her hiding places. It was priceless.

That is such a cute video of Karli!

All hail Link, king of the toy pile.

I can totally picture Shaqua's look! That sounds hilarious! She'll probably spend all day today trying to find a new hiding place. Smile

saski likes to blow bubbles in her water bowl and any socks or clothes that she can find she will take to her secret pile Smile

freya makes some very silly noises sometimes which sounds like a duck to me and she always gets off any bed/chair in slow motion dragging her back legs to have a stretch at the same time.
freya also has a bit of a lazy eye when shes tired which i think is kinda cute Smile

Lexi does something similar. Except she lays on her tummy and slowly chews the toy... She also kneads with her paws (which doesn't really do any other time). She falls asleep with toy in mouth.

She doesn't stash her toys... But she does like to take ALL of them out of the toy box.
She will share though... If she is in the mood to, she will go and get everyone their own toy and give it to them (whether they want it or not). Very cute Smile

Mishka hoards things in his dog bed. I've found slippers, toys, toilet paper rolls, socks, etc. If something goes missing I just head there. LOL.

Lycus has a tendency to go to the grass, roll over on his back, and throw his legs and wiggle them in the air while throwing out his "woos" for a long time lol.

Dakota used to inhale his milk bone treats whenever he got them but recently he's taken to simply taking it with him everywhere. He won't eat it he just guards it, but no growling, anyone but Rusty can go take it from him with no problem. It's almost like it's a security blanket. He will eventually hide it somewhere then when it's time for bed he races off to get it and take it with him to bed.

tonight he changed it up a little though, he kept trying to give the bone to our 5 year old daughter.  She was watching tv and he plopped the bone in her lap and sat and stared at her. She gave it back to him and went on watching tv. 20 min later she's laying on the floor playing and he plops the bone in front of her , again he sits and stares at her and once again she gives the bone back to him.

He also tried to give it me a few times. After having him give it back to me several times i just picked it up and put it down somewhere else, he went and got it and tried to give it to our daughter again. He doesn't seem to want it but he also feels the need to have it safely in someone's possession lol

goofy dog lol

Siku does this too, and I just stand there with my head bowed just praying that no one else is around to see this! Hahaha.

Siku's new thing that he picked up at daycare is to lift up his leg when he pees. Except he doesn't understand that you are supposed to do it on or near something, so mid pee in the middle of the yard he slowly lifts a leg and just continues to go  or sometimes he lifts it to much and falls over while trying. its hilarious.

Lexi also starts to lift one of her legs mid pee... with nothing around. Sometimes she does a little spin and almost falls over. Smile

Its just so funny, cause he was always fine just peeing with all four on the ground, and then daycare started and he came home with that little habbit. And he doesn't do it all the time, just when he remembers! He is a pretty dainty boy, so I think it makes him feel more manly! haha.

When Balon needs to go out he will come up to you and stare at you, if you try to pet him he backs up and continues to stare lol. My lab Ruby has to bring you a toy when you come in the house, I mean everyone lol. Loki doesn't really have any silly habit yet, though I'm sure he will lol.

Omg! Nikolai does the same thing! It took me forever when he was a puppy to figure out that was his sign for wanting to go to the bathroom, cause Siku just goes up to the door and barks. You would think he would follow his older brothers lead, but I guess he thinks his stare is more effective! Hahaha.
