Hi, I live in the uk and recently rescued a puppy, the vet says he is a husky but i have never seen one with these markings before and would be grateful if you would give me your opinions! He is mainly white with these black patches on his back.

It's not a great picture for helping determine if he's husky outside of color/pattern, but he looks like a piebald which is a normal and acceptable coat pattern for the breed. You can do a search online and look up pics of piebald huskies and find lots of different examples.

Something looks a little off with his head but maybe it's just the picture.  His coat looks thinner than most too but again, it could be his normal or just the picture. Is it possible that he could be a mix? Bad breeding can also result in "different" looks too. Did get him from a shelter or rescue that didn't have background info on him? He could certainly be full husky but without papers or a dna test you can never be 100% certain. Regardless, he is a very pretty boy and I'm sure you love him to bits no matter what he is. Color-wise though I wouldn't question that it is a normal pattern. If he isn't full husky, he at least looks like he's mostly husky.

Looks to me like he definitely has husky in him. Maybe a little bit of a mix with something else.

i rescued him off a homeless man that wasnt looking after him, he was very thin and covered with fleas! so we dont have any info about him at all, i thought he might have been mixed with something else but was'nt sure, we love him whatever he is x

The Maw seems a bit wide to me.

The head is also thick, or off some how.


I couldn't say for sure.... I see Pit mix personally. I wouldn't be surprised if the tops of the ears flopped down eventually.

Either way he's a cutie.

thats what i was thinking too, i think the husky has defo come out more though, evrytime i look at him i think...hmmm could he be this or could he be that!

It's hard to tell, but I agree his head shape and coat don't look entirely husky, but I definitely see a lot of husky in him.   To me it looks like he's mixed with some kind of bull terrier, If you were in the US I would say pit mix, but I'm not sure what the common breeds are over there. In the US, especially on the east coast, there are a ton of pit bulls and pit mixes. He's really cute either way! I love his nose.

He looks mostly Husky, but to me it looks like he could be mixed with Great Dane as well. I could also see Pit too possibly. You can always purchase the DNA kit.

When i look at him i see pit, and some husky. But he is a great looking pup! Congrats!

Interesting you see great dane. I wonder if the ears will stay up or flip, like chris suggested.

staffordshire bull terriers are very common here, i think thats his mix x

he is really cute he doesn't look mix that much it looks like he has more husky then anything else the marking is nice
