How do i teach my 10 week old puppy to walk in a leash she pulls on it or doesn't  walk

I didn't really follow any particular training technique but Caper is walking well with me now compared to when we first met.

For relaxed walks, Caper is allowed to stop and sniff but not pull. I will stop or turn and go in the opposite direction if he starts pulling and will only resume if he gets beside me and puts slack in the leash. I praise him when he is walking nicely (he knows that "good boy" means he did something right, because in the beginning I would treat him every time I said it). You should never move on if the leash is taught, otherwise he will learn that if he pulls hard enough he can get where he wants to go.

If I want to move on, I say "let's go!" / "c'mon!" / "thisaway!" in an upbeat tone and start moving and he would perk up and follow, leaving whatever he was sniffing. He will even leave people and sometimes dogs to follow me! If it's a cat, other prey animal, or a tantalizing piece of garbage, I'll need to repeat and pull slightly on his leash and that sometimes snaps him out of it. I think he knows that if he doesn't respond the first time around he gets pulled. We're still working on the "leave it" command, so I don't feel like I can be in the position to advise here


I will generally say what we are doing when we're walking, such as "right", "left", "straight", "wait", "cross" and praise or treat when he does it. He catches on pretty quickly

If your girl doesn't want to walk, I would look for a reason why. Is there something she's afraid of? Is there something hurting her, such as a thorn stuck in her paw, etc? Each would require a different solution.
