Hello!

I was wondering if someone could give me some advice. My husky, Braylee, (for those who've seen my threads before), is acting strange. She hids behind furniture, does not want to assoicate with me, my husband, or Duke (our other dog), won't eat, sometimes drinks. She will go outside but will sit and stare at the house and not move. I'll have to walk up to her and tug her a bit to make her move. When she's inside all she wants to do is stare out the front window or sleep. Her behavior just concerens me because she was fine Sunday and this new behavior didn't begin until Sunday evening. We have taken her to the vet which they checked her anal gland and stomache all of which were fine. She's not in any pain, doesn't whine, but the vet did give her some meds incase she ate something bad. She hasn't eaten in two days, however I finally got her to eat some eggs this morning after I sat on the floor with her.

My question is I don't know what else to do for her! She looks pitiful and I can't help. Nothing in her rountie or enviorment has changed, she gets plenty of excercise, well fed. I'm just wondering if she could be like depressed or something. Anyone got any advice? Please, I'm open.

Aww, poor Braylee. My advice for now is to keep an eye on her. It's only been a day or so and sometimes just eating something funny or not feeling well throws them off. If in a couple of days she is still acting the same, I would give another call to the vet.

Have you tried playing one-on-one with her? Or tempted her with her favorite treat or toys? Even when he's not feeling well, Koda always perks up a little when we bring him his favorite things.

I'm sorry she's feeling so down. I hope she snaps out of it soon!

I'll set on the floor with her, and rub her belly. She likes that, and will just lay there and twist around to where she wants to be scratched. She's usually the first to bat at the cookie jar where I keep the dog bones, but she'll just sniff it then walk off. She has a deer antler and a frog that croaks that are her favorite toys but she has no intrest in them. So I dont know. I'll just sit with her now a rub her belly, or she'll at the very most eventually crawl up into my lap and sit there, but she doesn't stay long.
