| We'd like to call your attention to Rule #4 in the lower right-hand portion of your screen. Where we previously limited signatures to text only, the Staff now recognizes that signatures are an important part of forums and are helpful as we grow to keep track of everyone's dogs We now welcome you to append signatures to your profiles! Make sure that you also click "Append signature to every post" in the Preferences section of your profile after you add your signature in the appropriate box. Lastly, we ask that you do pay close attention to the specifications laid out in the rules. We want signatures to be a welcome addition to this forum and hope that this compromise helps bring about ownership and pride in our online community If you need help creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we'd be happy to help! Happy creating! ~Tori _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Hey, Tori, I'm guessing you mean 500x200, not 200x500, right? And tell me if mine's OK. It says one picture but I figured that you mean it as in only one signature that is 500x200, not as in I can't squeeze more than one pic in. |

| REMINDER. Please remember that signatures can only contain one photo of a specific size and NO links unless they reference an image, photo stream, or blog. Further, while I know the pita-pata tickers are popular, please remember the rules when appending them to your profile. Tickers are NOT allowed to contain the link to pita-pata. We ARE accepting two tickers if you have more than one dog because they equal the size of one photograph of appropriate dimensions, but please be mindful of the rules. While we want everyone to be able to have a signature that represents them and their dogs, we don't want them to become a distraction like they are on so many other forums. These rules are in place to make sure that doesn't happen. Please remember to follow them. They are posted on the bottom of the right-hand column in case you need a refresher. Happy Posting _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| And as mentioned earlier, but not addressed, I assume it means 500x200, not 200x500. Standard says its width x height. |

| I think most people just use the paint program unless they have a better program for editing. |

| Go to the profile tab at the top(where logout, home, etc are). There should be somewhere that says 'Signature' and you can go there and edit it. to put an avatar picture go to profile again and click on avatar instead of signature and you can upload a picture from there. |

| Well, I seen this post from my phone, and I decided that I would like to create my own custom image.
Since I am an advanced programmer, I used the PHP's function createimagefrompng, which I have the signature files hosted on my site. Then I create 5 (to start with), images and placed them in the images folder of my server. I use the createimagefrompng, to calculate the age from her DOB and display gender, and name.
This will be nice, as when I get my second baby, it will randomly pick an image from the images folder, decide if it is a male, DOB and name, place it at the top of the pic.
I also added the flag of birth to the top left corner so if I get one from another country (which I may change to state, because I don't believe I will be flying one in from Siberia), the flag will change as well.
Anyways, just a little tid bit on my signature if anyone is interested... Thought I would put a feeler out to see if it is ok for this user group as well...
Let me know what you think, Thanks, Jeff |
