Double forum post! XD I was just wondering something. Yuki is from a litter of 7, mom weighing 52 pounds and dad weighing 65 pounds. An online future weight from current weight and age thing said Yuki was going to be 43 pounds and then I tried again a few weeks later and it said 42 pounds. My vet said at the last visit Yuki would probably be 40-45 pounds full grown. Anyway, Yuki has a sister from the same litter so same age and everything that seems WAY bigger than her. Yuki looks smaller than huskies her age, but could it be perhaps the food I feed her helps her grow at a slower rate (I've heard somewhere that some foods can make a pup grow slower but maybe I'm just being stupid XD ) Anywho its not very important but I was just wondering about it. Here's a current picture of Yuki and then her sister Naia. Edit - I asked Naia's owner and Naia is 28 pounds, Yuki is only 21.

21lbs is a fine weight for a nearly 4 month old husky. I wouldn't doubt her getting to 40-45lbs at all. Dogs grow at different rates, most usually have a good growth spurt between 6-8 months. Though she may seem small next to other huskies, a lot of huskies are way bigger/taller than they should be in terms of standard size. My girl was 15lbs at 5 when she was spayed months and didn't get over 20 until maybe 7 months, and topped off at 29 (current weight at 16 months). My male was 40lbs at 8 months when he was neutered and topped out at 53lbs(current weight at 4.5 years). She will probably have a growth spurt in the next few months.

I don't really think there is a way to estimate really what size they will be though. It's so unpredictable when they will have their spurts and when they will finish growing exactly. A vet I went to once when I first got her and thought she has KC told me Rogue would "at least" be 50lbs... she is 29, so, haha.

Your dog is fine Smile Cato was 40lb at 8 months and he almost done growing at 45lbs. I'm sure he will fill out by 2 and may hit 50, if I'm lucky.

Don't worry too much about expected weight, just make sure your pup isn't too thin or too thick and you will fine Smile

Thanks for the replies everyone Smile I know I shouldn't be woried about Yuki's weight, I mean she seems pretty standard, I just found it odd that her full sister from the same litter was a whole eight pounds bigger than her! :O Naia is gonna be one big girl! Yuki can stay my small little baby <3

It seems that huskies vary extremely from one to the next. Kylah was 10lbs at 11 weeks and is now only 35lbs at 8 months. I'm hoping she has another growth spurt, I was hoping she would be a little bigger.
