Hello. I switched my dog's food to Acana Adult Dog from a ..lower quality kibble, and she stopped eating. She only eats when she is hungry(around 7-9PM). I made her a bit picky, seeing how I always added a bit of wet dog food. She was really excited to see me add the extra ingredient, but now she won't even smell the food. She will eat only when she is hungry, but I want to feed her on schedule. I go for a long run every morning and evening with her, and I want her to be in top shape. Seeing how she eats less, she sometimes will run slower.

She isn't sick; she is a very playful and active 2 years old husky.

Anyways, I don't mind adding extra goodies to her food, but I want them to be healthy. I tried adding chicken liver and she likes it. I'm afraid I won't have liver in my freezer always.
I tried adding milk and she liked it also, but I know she can get worms from milk. I add just a bit of milk (a few spoons), so I hope it won't be a problem. I guess what I want to ask is: what unharmful ingredient should I add to her food? And is the milk harmful in anyway? I want something other than wet dog food.

Have you considered Adding vegies to her food I add baby carrots to my dogs food. Green beans and snow peas are also okay and are good for them. I also add salmon oil and my male loves it in his food. Craisins are okay also NOT Raisns. Craisins are dry cranberry and they are good for them... Yogurt is also good for dogs but milk really isn't from what I have read.

I guess she just likes her food to be a bit moist, but still crunchy.

Crack an egg on top

I personally don't like feeding extras on top because I think it makes them even pickier :p But I agree that adding egg on top would be a yummy topper lol. I was just thinking though that because she is eating a better quality food, there probably isn't as many fillers (can't be sure without knowing the brand) and so she doesn't actually need to eat as much anymore

I added some salmon oil for her first meal of the day and some yogurt for the second one. No complaints there.

Sounds like a plan.  The salmon oil is good for their coats and joints.  The yogurt is good for digestive systems.
