Hello all.
I have a female husky name Molly. She is 1 year and two month old.
I want to buy her a Ruffwear webmaster harness but I'm not sure what size should I get as she is between sizes. Her girth size is 27 inch and her neck is 16 inch.
On the Ruffwear webpage says that small size is between 22-27 inch and medium 27-32 in. I call Ruffwear and they say that I should get the small one, but I'm scared that she grow a little bit more, as I hear they still grow until they are 2 years, and it wont fit her anymore.
Which one do you guys think I should get?
There isn't any place close here that sell the Ruffwear items, so I can't try it out before buying.
This is Molly.

Hmm I would personally get the medium. As you said, she could still fill out a little bit.

The medium one I got has a lot of room for growth, I was worried it wasn't going to fit my boy when I first saw it, and thankfully he shouldn't grow any more but it may not have if he was way over standard. I'm super happy with the one I got so far!

I have the Palisades Pack which detaches from the harness which is essentially the webmaster harness. My 70lb husky fits the medium pack, and my 50 lb female fits the small. I initially bought my female the medium and she was on the smallest setting on the harness and it would still move from side to side. I initially bought a large pack for my male but that was a bit big.
In my signature below, my female is wearing a small pack and my 70 lb male is wearing a medium Palisades Pack.

Both mine are around 55 pounds and I have to (almost) fully tighten the medium sizes to get them snug. Almost wishing I would have went with the small, but there's enough overlap between the two sizes that medium still works.

Now you guys have me in thinking again between small and medium lol. Last time I weight her she was 52 pounds, that was like 2 weeks back, and I think she has gain some more weight since that day. Going to weight her tomorrow to see how much she has gain. I'm scared that she is going to gain more weight later on and her girth will go over 27 inch and the small won't fit her anymore!!

I have the Ruffwear Omnijore harness for my sibe and I ordered a medium for him. He's 50 lbs full grown, 17" neck, and I can't remember what his girth is. Anyway, he fits well in the medium with it adjusted to the tightest setting. Just a side note, my boy didn't finish filling out until he was 3 years old. FWIW, he was much thinner at 2 years old than he was at 3 years old.

Still undecided lol
I call Ruffwear again and they recommend me to wait two more month to see if she grow some more, but the thing is I have to buy it now because I don't live in the US, and my mom is there now, and she will bring it here in a week, so I have to buy it today or tomorrow at last.
How much you guys think her girth could grow after 1 year and two month old?

I would go with the medium. My husky gained, Oh I would guess 2-3 inches in girth, from 11 months to 1.6 months old. He has gained a inch in the last 2 months.
- If she doesn't grow the medium will still fit her on the tightest setting

Has anyone bothered to get one for a pup? Link is 5 months now and we are starting to do some hiking and other focused close in work in training and I know this harness would be perfect. He measures 21 inches at the rib low point which is the low end of their small. So there is technically room to grow into it it's just I'm not certain how long it will be before he's in a Medium.
I'm assuming by 9 months, ish??
I really, really want one.....and their Omnijor system too......that's a ways away

In your female wearing the small, is there more room to tighten it or is it as tight as it can go??

There is room to make it tighter with the small.

I would hold off on buying a pack until a year not only for measurement ideas but also so you don't have him carrying anything until his growth plates are ready to handle it. I haven't gotten real packs for Yuki yet as I don't plan to have her run, pull, or carry anything (not even the empty pack.. we only did that once for fun when we bought her one) until shes at least a year as I'm too paranoid about damaging her joints.

So I end up getting the medium, can't wait to get it here. It's going to be fun times. When it arrive I will post some pics.
Thanks you all for the help.
Here is a video I just took of Molly messing around with Coky (Mon's poodle)

Oh alright. Sorry I get a bit worked up because I have a friend who regularly biked with her husky when its wasn't even 6 months yet and I'm like .-. please stop. And once the damage is done, its done. So I tend to get a bit over-protective of that subject. I know the original post was about the harness... and then I saw pack.. and my mind went to pack xD

Haha, nope, I was asking about the harness, which I purchased today and we went for a short hike in the woods and two swims in the lake with it. It works so well in water, it's like a steering wheel or like ironing....if you can imagine that

For anyone wanting the size medium, its on sale for $40.95 on amazon. I'm thinking of planning ahead and grabbing one for my boy.
