So I recently read An Echo Through the Snow by Andrea Thalasinos. It's about a girl who rescues a neglected husky and then gets into sledding. Parallel, another story is told about a Chuckchi family and their history with Siberians. It was a very entertaining, though sometimes lacking, story. I read it in about two days, couldn't put it down. The author writes the dogs spot on. It's the human characters that could use a bit more fleshing out. But if you can get past that, it's an interesting book. As with any dog book, there's a few tears, but it's overall not too sad. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a bit of a fluff read over the holidays.
